They make great snacks for kids after school and for adults with beer and cheese.
Bretzel and Wine
Perfect contrast makes Bretzel an ideal beer food, but in Alsace it is also paired with a traditional Alsatian mixed drink of 4 parts beer and 1 part Amer Picon Bitters (dark red liqueur with a bitter orange flavor).
As an aperitif, it can be enjoyed with a Gewurztraminer or a Cremant d'Alsace sparkling wine.
