Chablis

The town is entirely dedicated to the reputation of its white wines, but it also deserves an exploration through its picturesque streets with attractive medieval houses, the churches of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Martin, and the ancient lavoir (public linen washing area). Dijon

Capital of Burgundy, Dijon is the ideal place to enjoy culture, gastronomy and sightseeing! The city is famous for the many fine monuments which bear witness to its glorious history. The ancient streets in the historical city center around the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy are lined with old stone mansions and half-timbered houses. The city is famous for its world-renowned Dijon mustard, and is the ideal start to the "Grands Crus wine road" for the wine lovers.

From Dijon to Santenay via Beaune, it is the discovery of the most famous vineyards of Burgundy, along a well marked out road or using the pedestrian or biking trail. Indicated by wine color road signs with a grape, the road goes through villages whose names are known throughout the world for their famous wines. Numerous wine tasting cellars, festivals and traditions needs to be discover.

Beaune

Known as the Capital of Burgundy wines, Beaune is also a city of Art: the medieval town center, the Hotel-Dieu, a 15th-century hospital that has been immaculately preserved and renovated, the church Notre-Dame with its 15th century tapestries, and the Wine Museum recounting the history of wine and vineyards. The sale of wines from the Hospices de Beaune vineyards take place each year on the 3d Sunday in November, and is the biggest charity wine auction in the world.
Beaune is perfect as a base for exploring Burgundy. Beaune is a paradise for wine lovers. The towns wine cellars offer you a large choice of tasting and/or wine lessons.

Maconnais-Beaujolais Wine Road

One hour from Lyon, this touristic road, 75 km long, can easily be followed with the signposts "Suivez la grappe". The road starts in Macon and covers the southern part of Burgundy. It passes through more than 60 villages, where the visit of the cellars will reveal the wide variety of appellations of this wine region.

Maconnais

The town of Macon hosts every year one of the most important wine contest in France. The Maison des Vins of the town is a meeting place with: permanent exhibition about the Burgundy vineyards, an information center, wine tasting and regional food specialties.
Roche de Solutre. Close to Macon, the landscape is dominated by the huge monolithic rock of Solutre, surrounded by vineyards. It is the landmark of the south Maconnais and one of the most important prehistoric sites of France. A trail lead to the summit from where the view over the vineyards is splendid.

Beaujolais

The Beaujolais wine region can be discovered by car, bike and foot. One of the largest vineyards of the Beaujolais Crus, grow at the foot of the Mont Brouilly, small mountain crowned with a little chapel. At its summit, the panoramic view extends even to the Mont Blanc in the Alps
Visit of the "Hameau du Vin" in Romaneche-Thorins. Georges Duboeuf wine making center is a unique place, devoted to the vine and wine, Beaujolais traditions, aromas and wine tasting initiation.
