General Information
Located in the Doubs department, between Switzerland and the Jura department, this area belongs to the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park and includes 13 villages retaining traditional character at an altitude ranging from 920 to 1,420 meters. The mountainous area of "Mont Noir" and the north part of the Risoux forest in the Jura Massif offer numerous trails and slopes for cross-country and downhill skiing.
Between Mouthe and Chapelle des Bois, the high quality of the 259 km of cross-country skiing trails has turned this area into a popular ski place.
